Diz & Blueberry Cheesecake

Aerie Dress | Dawgs shoes | Third-eye Pinecone necklace | Howlite crystal bracelet | Off Broadway sunglasses | Vera Bradley backpack

~Matchy Matched~

Although this blueberry cheesecake did not come with a recipe, it did come with these beautiful color shades from the image itself. If you're into color palettes definitely check out Design Seeds. She takes images of everything from bake goods to buildings and sceneries and finds the shades of color that make up that image so you have each individual shade. So super handy for designing or just for some color scheme inspo.

Back to the matchyness doe~
See, all these blue shades of the blueberry cheesecake totally be matching up with all the shades of this blue jean dress I'm wearing. In different lighting, different shades of blue are highlighted. I think that's really neat! Thanks to Design Seeds all the blue shades reflected off this dress were captured by the shades Design Seeds pulled from this delish looking blueberry cheesecake. Thanks Design Seeds!

And not only are blues picked up, but also the dress's ropey straps match up quite well with the almost off-white creaminess of the cheesecake, along with my howlite crystal bracelet and even a little bit with my sandals.

So there it tis. This jean blue dress inspired outfit has met its matched in all shades blueberry cheesecake.

If I may say so myself, MAD YUMZ :D

Thanks for reading! More Disney outfits to come!

#CompareYourselfToCheesecake2016

ONE. That guy who compared that girl to a cheesecake is just not okay. People need to watch what they post and use social media to bring people up without hurting others. If you can't do that, don't post it yo! It's just not nice.

AND TWO now a whole new movement hast started!! So, YAAAAS. Stop that bullying ish with some love for the cheesecake comparin' and matchin'. What a fun way for people to join in on the fun using social media and cheesecake loving to stop bullying and promote self love! That's amazing. This is the magic of social media people. We all hate on it from time to time but now we have the power to connect and come together worldwide with something as simple as a tweet and a hashtag.

Now I know I didn't start this exact movement, (wish I did doe!) although I've been cheesecake matching since 2014. I just want to say how super awesome and inspiring I think this is! That people have found a way to use cheesecake matching and social media to make a difference and stand up to online bullying. Things are changing people~~~~

Thanks for the inspo all you cheesecake matchers! Keep dat love up!!

Music Hall of Fame Kind of Wedding & Oreo Cheesecake

Deets: Designer Promise top & skirt | Cousin's hand-me-down shoes (Thanks Ann :)

~da match~

Yuuuuuuuuuumz.

Mad yumz. Oreo cheesecake, ya can't go wrong with an Oreo cheesecake. Deez bad boiiis (lols) are brought to you by Royal Chill, "A Chillin Blog," as they say.

I know, this cheesecake match is pretty obv... black and white colors---we get it.

BUT, I have to say there's more to this match than it seems at first glance.

For one, I really love the drippyness of the (back) right cheesecake. To me, it resembles my black top melting or dripping into my white skirt, turning my solid black top to drips and pieces of the skirt's black flower pattern. Ya feels? Like the black chocolate drips against the white of the cheeseycake as it makes it way from the top---going from solid chocolate on top to just a few drips here and there at the bottom.

Also the chunky unsmooth shape of both the cheesecakes reminds of my skirt's uneveness, being it is one of those high-low kind of skirts.

I also like the fact that these cheesecake aren't identical or "match" per say, because this skirt and this top did not come together as a set. They were two separate pieces that I put together myself. The one top actually came with a long black skirt and then I paired it with the skirt that I bought separately.

Yep, so that's it. Anotha match, anotha day.

Actually wait that's not it ha, just want to say this wedding was so so much fun with such great people. Definitely a wedding to remember---from getting the chance to shoot a puck on the Predator's ice rink, to jamming it with the band in the Music Country Hall of Fame and of course the ceremony itself. Twas a beautiful wedding celebration~~~~

K, done and byeee :)

Bye Slippy...

I know everyone says it BUT IT'S CRAZY HOW FAST TIME FLIES. It just sneaks up on you, it's like when did I get here? How did I get here? But I'm here, so okay but not okay.

What I'm really trying to say is, I had such a great experience here at SRU and I wouldn't change one thing about it. The campus community is awesome and so supportive. My professors are the actual best professors ever. Biased, but true. Same with the comm department as a whole. It truly freaking has been an honor to work with everyone here and I enjoyed every second of it even when I wasn't ha... ECB second floor forevz my second home.

So here's a little tribute to da graduation moment~ I feel this outfits represents the person I have become here at Slippery Rock University. It's nothing professional or even really that "special" per say, but it felt right.  I can't explain it other way to be honest (and now looking back even the almost SRU green cardi be working into da theme).

Thanks for the experience SRU and thanks for showing me all that I can become.

Gap cardi | Dead & Co. t-shirt | Forever 21 short/skirt | Hearst Castle museum socks | Cons | Lia Sophia necklace

DA MATCH(ES).
The left Spirulina and Green Tea White Chocolate Cheesecake and the right Green Velvet Cheesecake be da perfect combo fosho.

See, the green velvet cheesecake best resembles the green of my cardi which is also almost the same shade of SRU's green like I was saying before (pantone 342 to be exact---whattup comm. majors). Also them little sprinkles just reminded me of graduation confetti, so I felt it was appropriate with the theme of the day.

The spirulina and green tea white chocolate cheesecake on the other hand got that off-white cheesecake filling, matching the off-white in my skort thang and a little bit in my washed out gray t-shirt. Also, dat crunchy topping of coconut circling this cheesecake is like a dark black/blue like the blue color in my skort.

Match made yo! Or more like matches I guess, whatevz. Hope you enjoyed :)

Check out the awesome recipes here to make yourself~

So there it is, my last L. Cacheesecake post as an SRU student. Which is why this blog even happened. It all started as a school assignment and I've been blogging ever since.

K I'm done byeeee. Good luck to everyone out there gettin' their graduation on :)

Italy Spring Break: Look III

Deets: Goodwill button-up | hand-me-down jeans | Cons

Dat's a match~

Well, minus the blue. But whatevz. There's more than just color that make this Blueberry Bliss Cheesecake-match up work. For instance, the ratio of colors between my top and this cheesecake are pretty spot on.

See, the white background of my top is the most prominent color used as it is also the most prominent color of the cheesecake. The dark blueberry color is used as one of the second most used-colors (along with blue), with the bit of light purple shade seeping through the top of the cheesecake. The dark and light purple shade from the cheesecake's blueberries is similar to the shades of purple in the roses. Then of course, da little green leafy chillin' on the side, matching the leaves in my top.

Spring Break in Italy: Look II

Deets: H&M black leather/suede jacket | H&M turtle neck sweater | Goodwill bag | Slippery Rock's Village Fest hand-made tree necklace | Third-eye Pinecone necklace

Matched and yumz.

This passion fruit cheesecake is created by Fork & Bikini (click for their recipe) and they from France. :)

This match might be actual perfection. At first I was worried I wasn't going to find anything, but once I found out that passion fruit cheesecake was a thing.. I found a ton of matching cheesecakes to choose from.

This cheesecake-match is pretty obvious---from my mustard yellow turtle neck sweater matching the passion fruit dressing (which some have said this sweater is more of a pistachio green, but I think it just depends on the light) and the black seeds of the passion fruit matching my black leather jacket, pants and bag.

Pigtails are just always fun so I was feelin' it, and I chose to wear my big pinecone necklace (from my honeypie:) because the colors just really stand out against that must yellow sweater. And of course I had to wear my cons wid it, making it a bit more casual.

Thanks for reading! Got one more look from Italy comin' soon~

Spring Break in Italy: Look I

(Photo cred: Mariah Ricci)

(Photo cred: Mallory Bergs)

Deets: H&M leather jacket | She In dress (gift from main my b Shannon) | Amazon shoes | Goodwill bag

Andddddd officially cheesecake-matched.

Not my best, but it was the closest matching cheesecake I could find. Still yummy doe! Also not very Italian themed as this cheesecake is a "Raspberry Sushi Roll" from 2 Cookin' Mamas (click their link for the recipe!). Still going with it anyways~

I at least had to find a cheesecake with black, since most of my look is black... and then I tried to find as many colors in my dress that I could find in a cheesecake, but could only match up the red and white designs with the raspberries and cheesecake filling.

So although it doesn't fully match, I still think the sushi roll cheesecake alone is such a fun idea to share. I do love me some sushi so it's like my favorite things wrapped into one. I bet its fun to eat with little chopsticks :) And I also think the design of the roll gives a cool unexpected visual as does my dress with it's colorful-everywhere design, so I'm widit.

More looks to come! Thanks for reading guys~
