Valentino Spring 2015 Couture
I actually lost my breath like people do in movies over sunsets and ish, after the first look of this collection (the full frontal-winged-black-velvet beauty). I could not believe my eyes. I thought I died and fell into fashion heaven.Yeah. Anyway, this collection totally recharged my inspiration. Especially when I saw this little cutie-but-equisite-at-the-same-time-two-piece-dress (Look 3).
I love the belled out baby doll style silhouette, with straps so long that the top is almost the same size of a bandeau.
The high neckline............ YAS. I've been forecasting variations in turtle necks in these next up coming shows. It's a perfect way to make sexy, modest.
Also the long puff sleeves that cuff at the end adds a perfect sweet touch. And the length of those boots.... it's a perfect mid between low and high cut (which at least I haven't seen too often). These boots added an edgy modern tone.
The overall design detail is beyond anything I can put into words. The design pattern is so heritage-like, yet modern in feel of a totally turned up version of florals, paisley, and aztec prints all transitioning into one combo.
Red Velvet Cheesecake
Mmz. Perf combo. It took me awhile to find a cheesecake that came even close to matching. So I'm pretty proud of this find. This red velvet cheesecake is from the well-known Wilton cake company.
I knew a rich red velvet cheesecake was definitely the way to go with this Valentino look. I think the raspberries even add that bit of sultriness that the look has. It's also like the raspberries are the little round shapes on the front of the dress--making almost a raspberry tree!
I feel that the black accents of the dress are accented in the crust of this cheesecake. The black accents of the dress and cheesecake are almost the same amount, ya see?
Even the white chocolate shreddings atop the cheesecake are the white beautifully fluffed high neck long-sleeve.
Let's not forget the cheesy dreamy, creamy yellow of the cheesecake........... yumz. Even though that color isn't the most used in this look, it's definitely highlighted right in the middle (and just a wee little bit at that the bottom)! That's my favorite part about this whole entire look. And is also my favorite part of the cheesecake--what a delish coincidence~ That yellow resembles a shining light that makes the whole piece shine! Ahhhh. Club can't even handle it right now. The red velvety goodness both rich in color, taste and design.
