Minty Fresh Cheesecake & Christopher Kane's Look 14

Christopher Kane's Spring 2014 Ready-to-Wear

About the Collection~
"Steralized petals" cutouts showing some skin here and also throughout this collection is an inspiration from the process of photosynthesis and the female anatomy, and a typical old school high school sex education crash course. Kane never fails to show his ability to take simplicity to an enchanted dream world of what could be. Another great ability of Kane's design choices, is that he sticks with the trends but pushes them outside their comfort zone. Flowers/florals are pushed every spring season. What does Kane do?! Use petals as some sweet peek-a-boo cut outs! I love it! This collection was also inspired by Kane's dissatisfaction of how school taught him science when he was growing up. This also lead to the finale song being "Another Brick in the Wall," by Pink Floyd. Dats what I'm talkin' about.

I have always been a huge fan of Christopher Kane's designs. And this refreshing minty green look from his Spring 2014 Ready-to-Wear collection had me craving for some swirls of minty cheesecake flava!

SUCH AS THIS BEAUTIOUS RIGHT HERE.

A mint cheesecake for St. Patrick's day created by Zoë François that I found on her blog 'Zoe Bakes'. In her blog she describes the striped swirls on the inside as a '"Wow" moment when you slice into the cake.' This was the same 'Wow' moment I had when I came across this dress! Hence one of the reason why I chose this cheesecake. I love the creative inspiration you can link from one creation to the other! For the creative thought of someone else will help relate or create new inspirations for another!

For instance, Zoe said she used a "fresh mint in her batter to add a bright, fresh flavor." Describing the taste she desired, the same as the way I described the look and feel of Kane's look above. She also describes it as 'super lush'. Spring being lush and bright as a season!

~Hope you enjoyed this cheesecake style lovin'!
